Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer for Campus Management Corp., Jim Lynn directs the company’s technology strategy and manages its global software development organization. Previously the CTO for PLATO Learning Inc., Mr. Lynn oversaw its learning management and curriculum software development portfolio for K-12 and postsecondary education. At PLATO, he executed strategies that unified many disparate product platforms, enabling the company to introduce a full range of enterprise-class Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) offerings.
Mr. Lynn has more than twenty years experience in systems engineering and software development, as well as leading large product development organizations including development centers located off-shore, quality initiatives, and enterprise platform architecture and migration. His career has encompassed senior management roles at Pearson Digital Learning’s Education Division, where he was VP of Technology, responsible for strategy and leadership of initiatives for a global development environment, including offshore capabilities. At Lockheed Martin, Mr. Lynn was a Systems Engineer focused on simulations of advanced technologies.
Previously, Mr. Lynn was a senior engineer at Honeywell, where he produced two patented, security-related devices. Later, at Motorola as a Director of Engineering, he created systems and devices for government and military applications in the area of communication. While at Motoroal, Mr. Lynn was a co-inventor of two patents for vector dimension reduction using neural networks and autonomous network agents.
Mr. Lynn is an Air Force veteran and following his military service, he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from University of South Florida while teaching part-time at a community college.
